Tigers grab 2026 Orlando standout

The LSU coaching staff recently went into Mickey Mouse’s home territory to go nab the verbal commitment of one of the top 2026 products in the Sunshine State. 

Natthaneal Davis is a 6-0, 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder out of Bishop Moore High School in Orlando. He chose the Tigers over offers on the table from Alabama and South Carolina. 

“The loyalty and just the communication from the LSU coaching staff was everything,” he said. “It’s hard to describe. It just makes you want to be a Tiger as quickly as possible. That’s why I committed.

“When I camped last summer it was just fantastic. From day one (the coaching staff) saw something in me that I probably didn’t even see in myself at the time. I went there hoping for the best and hoping for them to at least give me a look. The coaching staff was very honest with me. They talked a lot about development. They believe that they can develop me into something big.”

Projected to play the outfield once he gets to Baton Rouge, Davis gave a quick personal scouting report of himself. 

“Five-tool player,” he said. “Agility and strength, arm strength and has a great feel for the game. I’m going to hit for a high average and be a gap-to-gap kind of hitter. In the field, I pattern myself after (Yankees standout) Jazz Chisholm, Jr. That’s my guy. I love his range and the swag that he has in the outfield.”

Davis said his recruiting process is completely shut down as he is taking no more visits. 

“It’s done,” he said. “I’m a Tiger.”
